Our partner laboratories operate under the highest European quality standards. The standard of quality assurance measures for genetic analyses is strictly regulated by law. In addition, we have developed further quality assurance measures to ensure a high standard of our genetic analyses and adherence to strict data protection measures.
Only laboratory staff who need to work with your data have access to it. During the laboratory process, the identity of the processing staff member is stored, allowing data retrievals to be traced at any time. To provide even greater security, our laboratory partner has also implemented two-factor authentication. This minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to your data.
Upon receipt of your sample, it is assigned an encrypted numerical code, after which your data are uploaded to our own security server and securely locked away. Only this number code is used for the course of the analysis and your identity is not visible to the personnel conducting the analysis.
Once the analysis is complete, your DNA will be destroyed by the laboratory. To render the DNA unusable, your sample is also sprayed with a solution that reliably decomposes your DNA.
All employees with access to sensitive data also receive regular training on data protection issues and are examined. To stay up-to-date with data protection, refresher courses are also regularly conducted by external partners.
